Common Questions About Tree Services
How do I get an estimate?
FIll out our free estimate form in our menu, or call us a 480-208-1974. You can also text a few pictures of the trees you'd like an estimate for with basic info to 480-208-1974
Do I need to be present when the work is happening?
Typically, you do not have to be home. We ask that you turn off irrigation within our work zone, provide access to area by having gates unlocked, and secure pets indoors.
However, you must be home if we are working in close proximity to power lines. These power lines must be disconnected with your approval to the power company to prevent electrocution of our workers. We hope you understand the importance of this. Your free estimate will have more details if this applies to your job.
How do I care for my trees after pruning service?
Water your trees more than you normally would in order to compensate for the loss of foliage and stored nutrients within your tree.
Can I plant a tree on top of one thats removed?
Typically you cannot plant directly on top of a removed tree due to the presence of the former trees root system. We can grind a stump below grade 6-10" and you can plant next to the old tree, but cannot plant directly on top of an old tree.
How do you remove trees over roofs and delicate areas?
WIth 25 years of experience in the tree service, we have several techniques we use to ensure the safety of your property, and our crew. Each job has its own technical demands, but we use everything from lifts, cranes, climbing, roping, and strategic cutting to ensure we get your tree removed, cut as close to the ground as possible, and cleaned up without any damage.
What payment method do you accept?
We accept cash, credit card, and Venmo/PayPal for payment. Upon completion of services you will receive an invoice with an option to pay online using the method of your choice. Tips are always appreciated if you feel so inclined.
Are you licensed and insured?
There is currently no licensure for tree services in Arizona - believe me, we wish there were - so any company that says they are licensed is not telling you the whole truth.
We ARE insured for both liability (property damage) and worker's compensation. If you hire a company without these and they break something, they will probably leave and you'll never see them again. If a worker gets hurt, you can be on the hook for their medical bills without workers comp policy from your tree service provider. We carry both for peace of mind for all involved.
What is your affiliation with Javelina Tree Work?
Javelina Tree Work was the name of our business when we purchased it. Recently (March 2025) we have re-named it Arbor Barber Tree Service - same great service as you've always experienced, with a fresh new name!
